A man was delivering firewood to a certain house. attacked and beaten Police in Texas say he was killed by a naked man with a piece of wood.
According to court documents, 51-year-old Scotty Jackson was hired by a homeowner to transport firewood to a Fort Worth residence in a U-Haul, but when he arrived, 27-year-old Chris Stantas Omondi confronted him and assaulted him. It is said that he added
The homeowner was outside in subzero temperatures and helped Jackson, but was able to escape Omondi's attack.
“This naked man is three inches from my face, holding his keys at me and yelling that I'm on his property. He never wants to see me again. You should leave,” he continued. “And Scott answered, 'No, this is his property, this is his home. It's cold outside, so let's take down the wood.'
Omondi allegedly followed Jackson into his home and dumped a wheelbarrow on top of him.
After the homeowner entered his home, he said he witnessed Omondi repeatedly hit Jackson with a piece of wood.
“I truly believe he intended to kill us both,” said the man, who requested anonymity.
Police responded to a report of an assault and when they arrived at the home, they found Jackson suffering from “severe blunt force trauma” to his head and neck, police said.
Another witness said Omondi returned to his rented AirBNB and confronted the woman in the laundry room.
“I'm going to punch your a**,” he allegedly told her. “I'm going to mess it up.”
Omondi was trying to force his way into her room when the police showed up. They said he was “disobedient and aggressive” and they were forced to use a Taser to subdue him.
Police said the homeowner's account is supported by video surveillance and testimony from other witnesses.
The victim's daughter, Casey DeLeon, told KDFW-TV that the victim was spoiling her and her daughters.
“I can't call my dad anymore, I can't see him anymore. I feel so much hatred and anger right now,” she said.
“I just hope that justice is served,” DeLeon added. “That's all I want from my father.”
