3 females dragged Philly crossing guard off bus when she tried to escape brutal beating, detective says; suspects arrested

Blaze News reported last week that three women brutally attacked a railroad crossing guard in Philadelphia, leaving the 29-year-old victim hospitalized.

The good news is that three suspects have been arrested. The bad news is that the assault was far more sinister and vicious than originally reported.

“I couldn't believe they would do this to someone who tries to protect children every day,” said Captain Frank Bamford, commander of the Central Detective Division. told WTXF-TV.

Last week, police released information about the Nov. 30 attack, including still images of the suspect.police Said The victim was working as a railroad crossing guard in the 2800 block of Cecil B. Moore Avenue when he got into an argument with three women around 3:40 p.m.

Police said the three women tackled the victim to the ground and punched and stomped him several times. The victim suffered bruises to his head and face, as well as swelling to his nose, left hand and right foot, police said, adding that he was taken to Temple Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

WTXF reported that the suspects actually attacked the security guard after he handed over his mobile phone to a girl who had been attacked by the same suspects to call for help, WTXF reported, citing police sources.

Bamford told the station that the assault on the crossing guard was “that vicious''. “So they were trying to injure me. I got boots in the face, I got kicked all over my body, I got punched. It lasted for several minutes. It was awful.”

Police arrested two adult women, identified as 26-year-old Imani Thomas and 18-year-old Destiny Sanders, in connection with the attack, and a third suspect, a 15-year-old girl, turned herself in, the department said. He added that he did. authorities.
