Every election cycle, we hear Democrats and Republicans complain about “disenfranchised voters.” We have been constantly told for years, even decades, that we should listen to all voters.
That's right. Counterintuitively, however, unless these votes could potentially benefit populist independent candidates, they can gain popularity while being ignored or vilified by much of the mainstream media and the two major political parties. Populist independent candidates who are gathering could have an advantage.
That candidate is Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
It is no exaggeration to say that millions of Americans now support President Kennedy. On X (formerly Twitter) alone, his followers reach his 2.6 million followers and growing. Logic and basic math tell us that he has far more support than people who are willing to take the time to sign up for X.
Do voters of all political ideologies, colors, creeds, and sexual orientations have the right to be heard? Should they be allowed to vote for the candidate of their choice?
Clearly, the leaders of the Democratic National Committee and Republican National Committee hope that there will be no competition for the eventual presidential nominee. They are partisan organizations tasked with electing their party's candidate to the presidency.
fair enough. But last time I checked, they were all still American citizens. Certainly, the DNC and RNC leadership, and perhaps even some journalists, do not want to intentionally disenfranchise millions of Americans. Or is it?
Counterintuitive to many, former President Donald Trump has been bombarded with “courtroom” tactics from some Democratic judges, prosecutors, district attorneys, and state Supreme Court justices, which are partisan Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said it was viewed by many as an attempt to interfere in the election. Naturally, it condemned this practice.
I have written Kennedy on X: “I'm not a fan of President Trump. That's why I'm at odds with him. But the American people deserve a fair fight. We want the president to have no charges against the American people. Denying someone the right to run for office doesn't just seem to violate due process; it's plain wrong.”
Kennedy amplified that idea in an appearance on Fox News with Martha McCollum, saying that the “legal” strategy against Trump “violates due process” and is “un-American.”
As a quick side note, Kennedy would have happily made the same argument on NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, or MSNBC. They won't let him wear it. Just as CNN and MSNBC refused to air President Trump's victory speech in Iowa, these networks appear to be morphing from journalism into partisan political activity.
Let's go back to what Kennedy said. If President Trump isn't seeing them, someone on his staff should let him know. In the past, President Trump has called RFK Jr. “a very smart guy.” In addition, he should add, “And he has the right to participate in every vote in our country.”
Not only would Trump be paying Kennedy back, it would be a fair thing to do.
Of course, both Mr. Trump and Mr. Biden may look at the latest Gallup poll and say, “Wait a minute.” There's no way I want to be fair to Kennedy. He's getting too popular. ”
According to recent gallup survey, RFK Jr. leads candidates Biden, Trump, DeSantis and Haley with 52 percent support. Trump was next with 42%, Biden with 41%, Haley with 33% and DeSantis with 32%. These numbers, and Kennedy's significant lead in the field, are compelling and meaningful because they directly reflect the voice of the people.
People who want to vote for Kennedy in November will be disenfranchised by a system rigged to favor the two major parties. However, there has been little political, media, or public outcry against this injustice.
Sometimes it's all the other way around. Indeed, President Biden and his media allies have been going after Kennedy with hammer and tongs ever since he announced his candidacy for president in April 2023, then the first Democrat to do so. Mr. Kennedy has been happy to remind everyone. The DNC and Biden supporters did the exact same thing to Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders in 2020.
That may be “hardline” politics, but it's wrong.
This week, the Kennedy campaign purposefully tried to avoid obstacles in its way. announced That it created the “We the People” party. The party's filings are underway in California, Delaware, Hawaii, Mississippi and North Carolina. In Texas, the campaign filed paperwork with the Texas Independence Party.
why? Because it makes it somewhat easier to avoid obstacles that disenfranchise voters. As the Kennedy campaign outlined: press release“These party filings reduced the number of signatures needed to put Kennedy on the ballot in each state by approximately 330,000, or one-third of the signatures needed nationally.”
That's progress, but campaigns still don't need to waste precious time and resources fighting partisan rules enacted to deny Americans the right to vote for the candidate of their choice. By all accounts, RFK Jr. is more than a legitimate candidate, not only gaining popularity in the face of media censorship, but outperforming the “mainstream” Republican candidates.
Biden, Trump, the DNC, and the RNC should unite in condemning this fraud. That's just un-American.
