President Trump's former lawyer Joe Tacopina said Sunday that while there may be a “political slant” to some of the criminal charges the former president faces, there is “absolutely no chance” that he will be convicted. “That's possible,'' he said.

Tacopina, who withdrew from Trump's legal team last week, appeared on MSNBC's “Politics Nation” and was asked about the possibility that a jury would convict the former president.

“Is that possible? Of course,” Tacopina answered. “A jury of 12 will make the final decision.”

“Do you think there is a political overtone to the story behind this incident?” he asked. “Yes, I think so. Do you think these cases are invalid cases? Look, the grand jury voted in favor of indictment. You can't say there's no sex. That's impossible. Don't say that.”
