Former President Donald Trump hinted in an interview with Fox News that aired Monday that he intends to seek the support of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' voters ahead of the New Hampshire primary.
In an interview with Fox News' Lawrence Jones, President Trump said he was “honored” to have DeSantis' support, noting that the two men had similar platforms.
“I feel like it kind of expands on that in a way, if you can say that, because he and I — you know, I wanted strong borders, he wanted strong borders. I wanted low taxes. I gave you the biggest tax cut in history, the biggest tax cut ever.'' “He wants that more than Ronald Reagan's tax cuts. I want a strong military. wants it. Meanwhile, Haley, who remains in the race against Trump in Tuesday's New Hampshire primary, told Fox News about DeSantis' supporters, “I think his supporters have a chance. “Look, his supporters love America, they love America, they want America.” A new generation of leaders. we give it to them. ”
In the interview, Trump said he was “disappointed” when DeSantis first hinted he would run for president in 2024, given that he supported DeSantis in the governor's race.
