A machete-wielding maniac was charged with attempted murder after attacking and injuring three NYPD officers in Brooklyn on Monday, police told FOX News Digital.
The attack occurred around 3:30 p.m. when police responded to a report of an emotionally unstable 40-year-old man inside an East Flatbush apartment on New York Avenue.
Police say they attempted to take Jean Blaine into custody during a violent struggle inside a residence near Beverly Road.

Police said the suspect, who lost consciousness, slashed the officer in the side of the head with the weapon.
The second officer suffered a minor wrist injury, and the third officer sustained a shoulder injury.

The three injured officers were taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition, and Blaine was taken into custody.
Blaine is also charged with assault, menacing and weapons possession.

About an hour later, a fourth NYPD officer was injured in a separate attack by another unwanted New Yorker, the New York Post reported.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:45 p.m. inside the 42nd Street Bryant Park Station, where police attempted to remove a disorderly man from the station who had become involved in an altercation with a group of teenagers.
However, the man became enraged and punched the officer in the face, before being arrested pending charges.
