Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has been quietly pressuring Republican senators to pledge support for his border bill before it is released to the public.
According to multiple media reports, the bill, which was still secret, is almost complete. But its release has been delayed until Mr. McConnell can secure at least 20 of the 49 Republican senators, possibly with minor changes.
The bill is also being considered by the Senate Appropriations Committee. That's because the Biden administration needs about $15 billion to run the immigration program in 2024. This money is needed by Democrats to process, transport, feed, house, and hide migrants arriving in 2024. And 6.2 million immigrants have already been admitted in preparation for the 2024 election.
The additional spending could also be used to persuade senators who have not yet supported the donation.
Although not a majority of Republican senators have condemned the bill. The bill would likely provide employers with a large supply of cheap, docile foreign workers to replace higher-paying Americans.

“As we speak, half of my Republican caucus is ready to sell out, and they are ready to sell out fake border reform in exchange for what they really want. Please donate more tax dollars to Ukraine,” said Sen. Rand Paul (R-Kentucky). Said tucker carlson.
McConnell is supporting the bill in part because Democrats have refused to support military aid to Ukraine until Republicans approve Biden's border relief bill.
Another opponent, Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT); told reporters On Tuesday, the bill remained under wraps until top leaders secured the votes needed to pass the Senate.
We've been through a lot of situations where people say, “Oh, we haven't got a deal yet, it's not a deal, it's not a deal.'' Suddenly, “Oh, there it is.” [a] transaction! 'And we're given the equivalent of a snap election, like a snap vote, without really having a chance to read it or modify it.
“What we don’t want is to receive the text of the bill and then be asked to vote on it the next day or the day after that or a very short period of time,” Lee said. told TheHill.com after the 49 Republican senators held their weekly lunch meeting on Tuesday.
“There's talk of putting something on the floor for a vote, probably within a day or two,” the senator said. mike brown (R-IN) Said reporters. “I think it’s going to be a real uproar… [because] You'll end up with expensive and complicated bills to places you don't have [an] It needs enough time to pour properly. ”
The leaked bill's explanation does not include any significant curbs on illegal immigration or illegal immigration. Instead, the bill would allow more immigrants to be imported for low-wage jobs that would otherwise be sent to Americans for decent wages.
The bill also includes new incentives for foreign college graduates to take low-wage jobs at Fortune 500 companies. Without imported foreign workers, these jobs would put many young American graduates on the first rung of the career ladder.
Chris Chmielenski, director of the Immigrant Responsibility Project, said so far the bill looks less like a border security bill and more like legislation to import more workers for Republican-backed employers. .

He told Breitbart that the bill is the 2024 version of President George W. Bush's “any willing worker” program, as imported workers have a clear route to green cards. .
Sen. James Lankford (R-Okla.) is the Republican face of negotiations.
But Democrats can also get something out of the deal, Chmielenski said. Because it will help President Joe Biden and other Democrats declare an end to immigration and declare it irrelevant to the 2024 presidential election.
For many Democrats, trading workers for votes makes sense. That's because they fear Biden's immigration relief policies could hurt the 2024 election.
Biden's border policy is now the No. 1 issue in American politics, according to a January 17-18 Harvard University poll. According to the poll, 57% of voters said they miss Donald Trump's policies on the economy, immigration and crime.
On January 18, former President Donald Trump criticized the draft Biden relief bill, saying:
I have everything I need to stop the invasion of millions of people, many from unknown regions, into this once great and soon to be great country. I don't think we should conclude a border agreement at all unless there is. I also have no doubt that our wonderful Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, will just get the perfect deal on the border. Remember, without strong borders and honest elections, we don't have a country.

Several Republican senators announced they would oppose corporate donations to Republican donors. They include Paul, Lee and Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX).
Tom, a retired home builder who lives in Concord, New Hampshire, just voted for Trump. “Why do we feel the need to protect the Ukrainian border or the Israeli border? The bill would also help Democratic-run cities absorb and hide more foreign workers.
Democrats are currently losing political support in many cities, including Denver, Chicago, Boston, and New York, because their “sanctuary city” policies have left low-wage, welfare-dependent immigrants This is because it attracts a large number of people.
