I was fired for confronting shopper with unclothed baby

Mississippi Walmart employee claims she was fired After posting a video of a shopper carrying a baby in a cart wearing only a diaper during last week's cold snap.

Facebook user Fee Nicole took to the stage on Sunday to describe a young toddler sitting in a cart in the middle of the chain's Jackson store wearing only a diaper and a female caregiver wearing boot pants and a sweater. I posted a photo of myself.

It's unclear when the footage was shot, but temperatures in Jackson on Sunday dropped to 19 degrees, a bitterly cold day across the Deep South. According to Wonderground.

The video showed a Walmart employee putting a sweatshirt on the child before the confrontation erupted.

“He wouldn't be here if he didn't wear that jacket,” a woman's voice can be heard off-camera.

“That baby was just wearing pampers,” another woman chimed in.

“He's sitting there shaking right now,” a man's voice can be heard saying.

As onlookers voiced their concerns, a person believed to be the baby's mother was filmed throwing a bag of frozen vegetables into a cart, causing the package to bounce off the child.

“She's throwing cold food at this kid. What's wrong?” the man demanded, according to the footage.

The carer retorted to the worried shopper: “Shut your voice, who are you?”

“Please reveal that man's face,” a woman's voice was heard saying.

A man tells a woman with a baby, “You're crazy,” before the woman looks back down the aisle and yells a vulgar insult, making a small gesture toward the camera before stopping.

“Someone call the police on her,” a woman's voice can be heard saying.

“Some of you have called me twice already, so I wish I had hot water and a fire extinguisher,'' the caregiver retorted.

“But you came into the store properly dressed, and the baby isn't…” the woman retorted.

“Yes, I got fired because of this video…” Nicole wrote.

“No, I wasn't thinking about the consequences when I posted the video. I was worried about my baby. That's all. Now I hope he's somewhere safe!!!”

Nicole did not immediately respond to an interview request from The Post.

Neither Walmart nor the Jackson Police Department immediately responded to inquiries about the incident.
