Hollywood actor John Cusack said anyone who does not support a ceasefire in Gaza “has no soul”.
John Cusack was reacting to a viral video from a pro-Palestinian account that appeared to show a bloody Palestinian girl.
“If you don't call for a ceasefire, you have no soul,” he wrote in an X post on Thursday. “Being silent in the face of this is the most shameful thing I can imagine.”
God, God, if you don't call for a ceasefire, you have no soul…
We cannot stop until this stops. Silence in the face of this is the most shameful thing I can imagine. https://t.co/yUweEBhSb2— John Cusack (@johncusack) January 25, 2024
A ceasefire would allow Hamas to rearm and replenish its resources before resuming its stated goal of removing Israel from the map.
Cusack later wrote that Israel's response to the Oct. 7 Hamas terrorist attack was “unparalleled in its depravity.” He made no mention of the fact that Hamas massacred 1,200 Israelis on the same day.
Words don't speak – the barbarity of the Western response is unparalleled in depravity / Imagine October 7th lasting 115 days? https://t.co/23y26xjNhd

Mr Cusack is the latest in a growing number of high-profile figures to pressure Israel to commit to a ceasefire in Gaza following the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack.
A week ago, pop star Dua Lipa called for a “humanitarian ceasefire” in Gaza.
A group of Hollywood A-list celebrities including Joaquin Phoenix, Cate Blanchett, Channing Tatum, Jessica Chastain, Andrew Garfield and Kristen Stewart recently called for “immediate de-escalation and ceasefire between Gaza and Israel” signed a letter to President Joe Biden.
