House Democrats on Thursday slammed the impeachment inquiry after a witness testified that President Biden had “no knowledge” of his possible involvement in his son's business dealings.
Hunter Biden's business associate, Marvin Yang, testified privately before the House Oversight and Judiciary Committee on Thursday after receiving a subpoena.
Meanwhile, House Republicans said Yang's testimony raised many questions about the nature of the Biden family's business dealings in China.
A person with direct knowledge of Yang's testimony told Fox News Digital that Yang told Congressional investigators that he was “not aware of any possibility that President Biden was involved in his son's business activities.”

Despite having had interactions with Hunter Biden and James Biden, Yang said, “I have never met, spoken to, done business with, or had any personal or professional communication with President Biden.'' That has never happened,” the official said.
The official also said that Yang testified that he had “no material or information regarding President Biden's alleged involvement in his family's business transactions.”

But apparently Mr. Raskin was not present at Thursday's deposition.
“@RepRaskin was not even present for today's deposition,” House Judiciary Republicans tweeted Thursday night. “So how could he know?”
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) said Thursday that he plans to release the transcript of Yang's interview. Comer said Yang's testimony raises further questions about the committee's investigation into the Biden family's interactions with China.
“Marvin Yang admitted on the record that the Bidens had no experience in energy or infrastructure and did not know what they were bringing to the table,” Comer said Thursday. “His testimony raises many questions about the Biden family's dealings with Chinese government-backed energy companies. We look forward to hearing more tomorrow from Rob Walker, another Biden family associate. ing.”

The committee is scheduled to hear testimony from Rob Walker on Friday.
Mr. Walker was subpoenaed in November by House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) and Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) at 10 a.m. Friday. He is scheduled to appear at the U.S. Capitol.

In notifying Mr. Walker of the subpoena, Mr. Comer and Mr. Jordan said that less than two months after Mr. Biden left the Obama administration, his Robinson Walker LLC received 300 million yen from the Chinese company State Energy HK Limited. He noted that he received a payment of $1,000. Mr. Comer and Mr. Jordan allege that in the three months following that payment, Robinson Walker LLC “paid a total of $1 million to the Biden family and its companies, including Harry Biden and affiliates of Hunter Biden and James Biden.” He stated that he had made additional payments.
Comer and Jordan say evidence collected by Congressional investigators shows that President Biden was “aware of at least some of his family's businesses and was able to influence business transactions that could provide financial benefit to his family.” He emphasized that it has become clear that he was trying to

Yang's testimony and Walker's expected testimony come before Hunter Biden is scheduled to appear in court for a deposition as part of the impeachment inquiry against his father.

Hunter Biden ignored a subpoena to appear for a deposition on December 13, putting him at risk of being charged with contempt of Congress.
His lawyers and the commission reached an agreement last week for the eldest son to appear in a private deposition on February 28th.
