The Georgia Senate on Friday approved the initiation of a subpoena investigation against Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis by a vote of 30-19.

Willis has been accused of fraud and corruption during the prosecution of former President Donald Trump. A resolution filed by Georgia Sen. Greg Dolezal (R-Forsyth) says the Senate committee will issue a subpoena to “secure the attendance of witnesses and the production of documents and materials” related to Willis. will have authority.

The Senate investigation is the latest effort to hold Fulton County prosecutors accountable.
