An Oklahoma mother arrested an HIV-positive youth sports coach at gunpoint after she discovered him sexually abusing her young daughter inside her home, police said.
“He raped me,” an unidentified 12-year-old girl told investigators after her mother found her in her Oklahoma City home this month, the Kansas City Star reported.
Police said Donovan Scott Shepherd, 39, got into a fight at a bar on January 13 and was picked up by his mother, who was living with him at the time.

The girl was asleep at home when Shepard and her mother returned, and her mother went to bed shortly afterward, KFOR reported, citing the affidavit.

The mother, who was initially only identified as an adult female living in the home, woke up to find Shepard raping her daughter, according to the report.
When police arrived, they found the mother pointing a gun at Shepard.

For the past few years, Shepherd has been the youth baseball coach for the Oklahoma Aftermath team, according to the Kansas City Star. He reportedly admitted to police that he was HIV-positive, and investigators reported in a criminal complaint that he did not use a condom during the alleged assault.

The girl told investigators that this was not the first time Shepard had raped her, saying there had been six other similar assaults since she was 11 years old. One of the charges involved Shepard allegedly raping her on her 12th birthday, police said.

Shepard was arrested and is being held in the Cleveland County Jail on $500,000 bail, according to inmate records reviewed by FOX News Digital. He was charged with a series of charges, including lewd or lascivious marriage proposals and acts on children. Engage in a pattern of criminal behavior. exposing others to AIDS. First degree rape. and rape with an instrument.
