On Monday, Vice President Kamala Harris and actress Sophia Bush were heckled by anti-Israel demonstrators at an abortion event in California, who repeatedly interrupted their conversation to call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
Ms. Harris and Mr. Bush took to the stage in San Jose to promote abortion as part of the vice president’s “Fight for Reproductive Freedom” tour. During the meeting, President Bush used the term “pregnant woman” to describe pregnant women, but Prime Minister Harris mistakenly called abortion a “constitutional right,” even though there is no mention of abortion in the Constitution or Bill of Rights. I called it.
But the conversation was derailed after just a few minutes by demonstrators chanting “cease fire now,” with some shouting at Harris, “You’re complicit in genocide.”
“The regime says it is working for reproductive freedom, but how can that be true when the US is complicit in the destruction of hospitals and schools in Gaza?” one protester shouted. is.

Mr. Harris tried to placate the heckler. “I tell you this, in a true democracy, everyone has the right to have their voice heard,” she said before the audio of the official White House livestream cut out.
The vice president continued his speech, but was interrupted again after a few minutes when demonstrators resumed his jeers, calling for a “ceasefire now.”
Outside the event, anti-Israel demonstrators held Palestinian flags and placards reading “From the River to the Sea” (a slogan referring to the complete removal of Israel and Israelis).

Sophia Bush was one of many Hollywood celebrities to experience turmoil after the Supreme Court reversed Roe v. Wade in 2022. She called the Supreme Court “that son of a bitch.”
They will never eliminate abortion.
Only safe abortions.
This isn’t about life. It’s about control.
Those motherfuckers. https://t.co/m9eAebqQcW— Sophia Bush (@SophiaBush) June 24, 2022
