Wheaton College is often referred to as the “Harvard of Christian schools” due to its academic rigor, which is relatively comparable to Ivy League giants. Notable alumni range from Billy Graham to former Director of National Intelligence and U.S. Senator Dan Coats.
But recently, schools in the leafy suburbs west of Chicago have begun emulating Harvard’s awakening. Banning Bible verses, teaching critical race theory, and psychologically analyzing issues of gender identity may not be extreme in modern academia. But the school, which houses works by Reverend Graham, C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien, has strayed from its orthodox Christian roots. However, this is not a recent trend.
In the 2000s, the Ministry of Education praised Marxist teachings. In 2016, 78 faculty members expressed support for a professor colleague who said Christians and Muslims worship the same God. Five years later, the school held its first ceremony recognizing the graduation of minority students other than white students. And now Wheaton College is allowing professors to teach critical race theory.

Marxism, religious syncretism, and racism are incompatible with Christian teachings.
These three women leaders show how to take on unrealistic universities.
But the most blatant attack on Christianity is the banning of certain Bible verses that are key to the foundations of the faith. This year’s curriculum for new students will inform students about opportunities to meet the needs of disadvantaged populations. This is commonly known as the act of service.
However, Wheaton instructs his students not to use the word “service.” Instead, they should use “sacrificial cooperation”. The reason for this is that the service “has the potential to provoke power relations that cut across socio-economic, racial and cultural boundaries”.
Why does Wheaton set aside the entire Bible and the words (or derivatives thereof) used by Jesus himself? For both Christians and non-Christians, the existence of imbalanced power relationships is the reason for service. Moreover, the heart of Jesus’ earthly ministry was service. And his service erased the superficial boundaries that divided people and brought them together around him.
The root causes of madness on college campuses are older than you think
Another word that appears in many Bible translations is “mankind.” It is forbidden to see this word, and its definition itself is not surprising. Man and woman It is on unstable ground.
According to Biblical anthropology, a person’s gender is determined by what they see, not what they feel. The endowed professor in Wheaton’s psychology program believes that the ideal way humans exist is for men to identify as men and women to identify as women.
But in an imperfect world full of weaknesses, he says, that’s not always the case. Therefore, going against one’s God-given sexuality is “not a moral choice.” It is a result of weakness. Therefore, he tries to “help” [people] management [their] Gender dysphoria (dissatisfaction). ”
The historic Christian faith has always upheld the goodness of the created order, and any act contrary to it is a violation of God. The purpose of God’s teachings is to preserve and promote the flourishing of all life. And acting contrary to them brings harmful chaos into life. When these behaviors are allowed or celebrated, everyone suffers.
I’m a college professor and I’m rooting for the big American backlash against education.
From terror in public schools to disenfranchisement in women’s sports to irreparable damage to people’s bodies, there is nothing beautiful or exemplary to celebrate when it comes to the effects of transgenderism. it is clear. Classifying this reality as an immoral choice or situation to be managed is unwise, not to mention unbiblical.
Also, when we consider the roots of transgenderism, the negative effects of this movement become clearer. The transgender movement is driven by queer theory in the vein of postmodernism. In other words, postmodernism is the subjectivization of the historical pillars of society (truth, beauty, and goodness).
As a result, the truth became personal, or “my truth.” Beauty is defined by the beholder, not by standards. And good is anything that is socially acceptable.
‘School of Walks’ examines how critical race theory has permeated American schools and aims to end ‘victim mentality’
Queer theory is the application of postmodernism to sex, gender, and sexuality. And its main purpose is to free these three people from their historical and religious foundations.
Nothing in particular regarding gender truth About what a man is and what a woman is.People who mutilate their own healthy bodies are labeled beautiful.and it is considered good Gender no longer determines who can participate in men’s and women’s sports.
This is where the transgender movement is born. Could this be Wheaton College or its psychology professor trying to teach aspects of queer theory? That’s uncertain, but not impossible. It is true that universities are allowing professors to advance views on identity that are rooted in anti-God philosophies. It also supports a professor-led on-campus Gender Identity Institute, which students have access to.

Given this departure from the Bible, would Billy Graham, the most influential evangelical of the 20th century, support his alma mater?
During the 19th century, Harvard slowly and permanently transformed from a Christian university to a secular university. Belief in a triune God was eventually overthrown by fashionable philosophies. In Wheaton, the Biblical belief that there are only two genders is being defiled. Considering this and the other changes mentioned, it may seem like a slow process. However, if the tide is calm, the ship may stray far from the pier.
