Christian coffee shops in Colorado are facing continued attacks from communists and LGBTQ protesters who want them shut down.
Founder Jamie Sanchez Recycle God’s Lovesaid he started a coffee shop, Drip Cafe, to help the homeless.
“Drip Café is basically an idea from our project to help homeless people come out of homelessness and break the chains that bind them as homeless,” he told CBN News in a recent interview. Told. “One of the key areas is getting a real job, building a resume, gaining work experience, and getting used to socializing in a normal environment.”
The coffee shop is on a mission to help the homeless through its partner project, Revive. Sanchez also shared that Drip Cafe gathers with community members for prayer and encouragement.
However, the cafe has faced protests from LGBTQ and communist groups demanding its closure.According to reports face wirean online statement about biblical sexuality reportedly sparked the protests.
“Homosexuality: This organization opposes homosexuality as an alternative lifestyle. Additionally, the organization claims that the homosexual lifestyle is contrary to the Word of God and the purpose of humanity (1 Timothy 1:10). “The Bible teaches that it is a sin unto death,” the statement reads.
“Moreover, this organization is taught to love those who live such a lifestyle while hating their sins. 1 Corinthians 6:9 “Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God?” Don’t be fooled. No sexually immoral people, no idolaters, no adulterers, no male prostitutes, no homosexual criminals. ” Church members are forbidden to commit such sins. Members found to have committed such sins and do not repent will be subject to dismissal. ”
Sanchez also said he had rephrased his original statement to make it more clear.according to face wire, the Denver Communists Facebook page includes a post calling for protests against the drip cafe. But at the same time, Sanchez pointed out that demonstrations that once took place weekly are now happening once a month.
“There is a spiritual battle going on right now,” he said. “By now they should realize that they don’t influence us as much as they thought. Their goals are very clear. It’s on their site. It’s on their posters. . They want us to shut down.”
Protesters say the cafe hates homosexuals and has gone so far as to personally attack Mr. Sanchez, including bringing up his late wife.
“They are actually attacking me personally and even saying that I am using my late wife’s death as a tool to get people to sympathize with me,” he said. ”, he said at the same time. He sees it as confirmation of God’s call on his life.
“This also confirms how powerful my testimony is that Christ has given me through my life. The enemy will try to extract it and use it as a tool against me.”
Despite this, Sanchez continues to persevere by trusting in the Lord rather than just giving up and closing the cafe.
“For me, the cafe is not my thing. I don’t really think of it as my cafe,” he says. “I don’t think of it as recycling God’s love cafe. I think of it as God’s cafe. God gave it to us. If God gave it If you want it to go away, God will make it go away.”
He also said he plans to keep the cafe’s doors open until God tells him it’s time to move on.
“We could embrace people who are essentially…hopeless, who feel that no one cares about them, that no one loves them,” he said. Told. “We will be able to get them out of there and show them that Christ loves them.”
