The dreams you dream of can really come true.
Tech startup Prophetic recently developed an AI headband called Halo. It is said that if you wear this, you can control your dreams.
The company claimed that its Halo device, powered by an AI model called Morpheus-1, can induce lucid dreams, a type of dream in which the dreamer is aware that they are asleep.
“In lucid dreaming, the dreamer can control the dream world, the dream story, talk to dream characters, and much more.” Phrophetic’s website says:.
The company has begun enrolling beta users to test the product, particularly those participating in lucid dreaming research. Business Insider reported.
“We are looking for successful participants in lucid dreaming research to help us build the world’s largest brainwave dataset on lucid dreaming. All dreamers will be given a Z-Max headset. , you will have access to our app to upload data for model training purposes,” Phrophetric’s website explains.
According to the company, Halo detects when the wearer has reached a REM state and sends a signal to the brain, causing dreams to appear.
REM is a deep sleep state that usually involves dreams. According to WebMD.

If you’d like to order Halo, you can reserve the headset by paying a refundable $100 deposit. The estimated price for this device is $2,000.
The first 1,000 people to make a deposit will get one year of free use of the app.
Those who pre-order Halo are expected to ship around winter 2025.
