You have to go through it to know what’s inside.
Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) announced Thursday that he will block the Senate next week on a long-awaited immigration expansion border plan that would involve tens of billions of dollars in aid to Ukraine.
The public has yet to see the details of the bill, leaving little time for senators to consider the deal’s outsized impact before voting.
Schumer said the language would be revealed by Sunday, and steps would be in place for the bill to pass the Senate starting Monday, allowing for a vote on final passage by the end of the week.
It’s no surprise that he has a hectic schedule. Sens. Kyrsten Sinema (Iowa and Arizona), one of the three chief negotiators, said she wanted to quickly reach a deal in the Senate before the public reacted.
This week, Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) introduced a resolution through the Senate Republican Conference that would give senators at least two to three weeks to consider any deal.
There are rumors that a mysterious “border agreement” document (which does not secure borders) could finally be made public within the next 24 hours.
Please remember. The Republican conference passed my resolution that we need time to debate and amend whatever bill we are given.
Single weekends are not counted.

Notably, minority leader Mitch McConnell, perhaps Washington’s most ardent admirer of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and a supporter of military, humanitarian and economic aid to Ukraine ( The Republican Party of Kentucky reportedly voted against Lee’s resolution.
This is a developing story.
