Sen. Kyrsten Sinema Spent $77,000 Of Campaign Funds On Chevrolet Vehicle, Filings Show

Independent Sen. Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona has spent the past few months in luxury as Republicans and Democrats compete for her toss-up seat.

She spent about $200,000 more than the $594,816 she collected from the beginning of October to the end of 2023, according to the filing. Her community fundraising committee, the Cinema Leadership Fund, transferred $170,344 to the campaign. The independent senator spent $77,000 of his $200,000 security bill on a Chevrolet and $1,523 on security event tickets. She spent an additional $3,028 on her car in Paris and London.

new york post previously reported Cinema’s campaign spent $70,000 on a Chevrolet vehicle for security purposes.

Democratic Arizona Rep. Ruben Gallego and former Republican Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake are running in Sinema’s race. The latest polls for the Arizona Senate race show Gallego and Lake in a dead heat, regardless of whether Sinema enters the race. 538.

Sinema left the Democratic Party after being heavily criticized by Democratic lawmakers for acting against the wishes of the party by blocking major legislation and refusing to abolish the filibuster. She has not yet announced whether she will run for re-election.
