The Israeli Air Force has issued a newspaper warning to residents of central Gaza, calling on them to “wake up” to Hamas’s misdeeds. Meanwhile, the terrorist organization-linked Health Ministry claims the death toll among Palestinians is now over 27,000.
FlyerThe document, written in Arabic and titled “Reality,” called on Palestinians in central Gaza to “wake up” to the fact that “Hamas is killing.” [their] My beloved,” The Times of Israel reported Saturday, citing Suga Public Broadcasting.
“They destroy everything good, beat you, torture you, leave your family on the streets and hide in the tunnels,” the leaflet said. “Are you silent? All this is just a drop in the ocean. Your future is in your hands.”
“They killed your children, destroyed everything good, left your family in ruins while protected in tunnels, burned people’s money… and are you still silent? ?” the newspaper demanded.
The Times of Israel reported that the flyers also included articles about European Union sanctions against Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar and increased humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Additionally, some of the leaflets appear to refute different claims by Hamas leaders, but do not specify which statements were featured.
Israel is facing a growing backlash over its ground offensive on Gaza, which began days after Hamas terrorists attacked southern Israel on October 7.
As of Saturday, the Hamas-controlled Palestinian Health Ministry claimed that 27,238 Palestinians had been killed in the past four months. CNN reported.
At least 107 people were killed and another 165 injured in Gaza in the past 24 hours, the ministry said, although the figures could not be independently verified. Hamas does not distinguish between civilian casualties and terrorist fighter casualties.
Also on Saturday the Israeli Defense Forces said It carried out airstrikes against several Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon, including two observation posts and a military headquarters.
The IDF also announced that the reserve 5th Brigade was withdrawn from Gaza and replaced with other forces.
