‘Don’t be fooled’: Here’s what’s actually in ‘border’ bill

Don’t be fooled by the Senate’s new “border” bill. Because it has little to do with borders.

“This is really a multibillion-dollar war package,” warns Glenn Beck. “Now, depending on who you talk to, it could have something to do with the border. This is both amazing for the border and also the worst immigration law in history.”

Senators say the bill is a $118 billion emergency national security supplemental appropriations bill that would provide $60 billion in aid to Ukraine but only $20 billion to secure the U.S. southern border. I made it.

It has also provided $14 billion in security assistance to Israel and $10 billion in humanitarian aid to civilians captured in the conflict zone of Gaza.

But that’s not all. Approximately $5 billion in assistance to key regional partners in the Indo-Pacific to deter China, $2.5 billion to support U.S. Central Command operations in the Red Sea, and $2.3 billion to assist Ukrainians and other displaced persons. Allotted.

It would also require the Department of Homeland Security to “substantially” close the border.

“That means we’re not going to close the border, but we’re going to close it,” Glenn scoffed, explaining that the border won’t close unless the number of migrants crossing increases by more than 5,000 per day. . In a week he reaches 4,000 people per day.

“So even if we have 4,000 people for six days, we can’t close the border,” Glenn said.
