An elderly man was killed by another man over tacos stolen from Taco Bell, Michigan State Police said.
The two were living in a rooming house on Waldorf Street in Roseville when they got into a fatal altercation Wednesday night.
Mark Newsome, 54, accused 72-year-old Dale Mitchell of stealing tacos and then allegedly beat him to death. When police arrived, they found Mitchell injured on the floor and Newsome was taken into custody without incident.
Investigators said Newsome punched Mitchell several times so severely that he died from his injuries.

Macomb County Prosecutor Pete Lucido released a statement regarding the incident.
“Once we understand that life is about fighting and killing people over tacos and food itself, there must be more to life than that,” Lucido said. “It would have been much easier to just walk away.”
Newsome was charged with second-degree murder and booked into the Macomb County Jail.
“It’s completely pointless,” McQuaid added. “I trusted Mark as a friend. I couldn’t believe he would do something like that.”
