Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) called the Senate border bill a “foul-smelling pile of junk” and said he would vote against it if it goes to the full Senate for a vote on Wednesday.
Mr. Cruz posted to X on Sunday evening:

On Monday, National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) Chairman Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mont.) became the first member of the Senate Republican leadership to publicly voice his opposition to politically damaging Senate candidates. signaled to oppose the agreement. Breitbart News’ Bradley Jay reports.
“I cannot support a bill that does not secure our borders, provides lawyers for illegal immigrants with our tax dollars, and provides billions of dollars to radical open border groups,” Daines wrote on X. ” he added.

As Breitbart News’ John Binder reported, the bill announced Sunday provides just $650 million to continue construction of the border wall, while costing American taxpayers $480. Billion dollars will be sent to Ukraine.
The bill is Negotiated It is proposed by Sen. James Lankford (R-Okla.), Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (Iowa-Ariz.), but Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-Ky.) – New York) said he was working closely with Senate Minority Leader Mitch. McConnell (Republican, Kentucky).
“I have never worked so closely with Leader McConnell on any legislation,” Schumer told reporters on Punchbowl News on Sunday.
