Bipartisan senate bill compromises the southern border : Letters

At issue: “compromise” Senate bill on borders and funding for Ukraine and Israel.

Don’t be fooled by the Senate’s so-called “immigration” bill (“Fake Border ‘Compromise’” February 6).
This bill will continue to allow thousands of immigrants to enter our country.

Title 8, United States Code, Section 8. 1182(f), which states: . . That would hurt U.S. interests, he might say. . . Suspend entry of all foreign nationals. ”

Congress does not need to pass legislation to close borders from immigration. All we need is for President Biden to carry out his oath to close the border upon his inauguration.

Republicans are crying over the border and demanding that Democrats do something.

So Senate Democrats brokered a deal that would give Republicans everything they wanted to fund border security. However, Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson declared the bill invalid upon arrival.

That is correct. After years of demanding action on the border, Republicans have rejected the deal. This is just the latest sign that they don’t care about any policy.

They don’t care about border security, wages, women’s rights, the environment, anything. All they want is power.

Seeing what the American people have endured as the Biden administration sells out national sovereignty for political gain, Democrats, and their mean-spirited Republican promoters, are calling for this flagrant, unilateral “compromise.” ” and set a trap. of the border bill.

But the American public does not approve of this pathetic effort to put lipstick on a pig. Mr. Biden has breached the border and hopes Republicans will tolerate his dereliction of duty. This makes it highly likely that President Trump will become president again.

We need a more comprehensive answer to our immigration problem, but the solution to this country’s current border crisis is very simple and can be solved without a kabuki theater from the Senate.
Just reinstate all Trump-era border executive orders and enforce all current immigration laws.

The problem: Former President Donald Trump’s recent comments liken himself to Elvis Presley.

Now, former President Donald Trump thinks he bears a distinct resemblance to Elvis Presley (“Elvis J. Trump?” February 5).

Trump is a truly sick and delusional man. What’s even worse is that millions of adult Americans worship him and want Trump to lead, or even destroy, our country in 2024.

Presley brought joy to countless people and continues to do so. It was sad to witness his eventual death.

However, there is no good news for Mr. Trump. He is evil and psychotic and he should not be roaming free in American society.

Hopefully, Mr. Trump goes to jail – that’s where he belongs.

President Trump recently claimed that he resembles the “King of Rock” Presley.

I would agree that Trump’s resemblance to the “King of the Clock” bears some resemblance to the title of Presley’s hit song. For example, he belongs to “Prison (Rock)”.

Trump is often “(Don’t Be) Cruel.” President Trump will probably smell just as good as “The Hound.”

And while Presley sang “Always on My Mind,” Trump sang two versions: “Always on My Own Mind” and “Always Complete Out of My Mind.” I just couldn’t sing properly.
