A Canadian man was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of selling business cards with free samples of cocaine on them, police said.
Seyed Amir Razavi, 30, is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000.

The investigation began on Christmas Eve when police officers patrolling a Calgary casino noticed business cards being handed out to customers.

Calgary police said the card had the name “Alex Lee” on it and contained a small bag of suspected cocaine.
Investigators pursued evidence throughout January to track down the suspect, who was operating under the pseudonym “Alex Lee.”

On Saturday, officers conducted a traffic stop in a white 2020 Toyota Tundra and arrested the driver. Police executed search warrants on a vehicle and residence on Beaconsfield Place NW.

A search revealed approximately 60 grams of cocaine divided into more than 50 baggies, a digital scale with drug residue, $1,280 in cash, and a business card with the name “Alex Lee” written on it.
