“I have a platform. Some people want me to shut up and throw the soccer ball, and that’s fine. But there has to be a certain voice of reason. A lot of people call me stupid or smart. At the end of the day, I think what I’ve done and what I stand for is a tough position, but I’m going to continue to speak out and use my voice to encourage others. I think it’s an important responsibility to give permission to stand up for people who believe what I believe but don’t have the opportunity, the courage, the platform to do it. Because there are a lot of them. I feel like I can represent some of those people in whatever crosshairs some media people and I may have. ”
