Gingrich on Biden report: ‘Can’t have a Commander-in-Chief who doesn’t know what he’s doing’

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) went after President Biden following the special counsel’s recent report on the presidential archives.

“[I]In a world this dangerous, you can’t have a commander in chief who doesn’t know what he’s doing or where he is,” Gingrich said on WABC 770 AM’s “The Cats Roundtable.” In an interview with host John Catsimatidis. It was broadcast on Sunday.

Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report released Thursday concluded that no charges should be brought against the president, but noted that Biden has problems with memory and recall.

“We also think it is likely that Mr. Biden will appear before the jury at trial as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory, just as he was when we interviewed him.” Mr. Hoa wrote.

“Based on our direct interactions with and observations of him, he is someone many jurors would want to have a reasonable doubt about.” It would be difficult to convince a jury that he should be convicted of a serious felony that requires a state of mind.”

Biden fired back at the report in a fiery news conference Thursday night, defending his memory and mental capacity.

“My memory is fine. … Look at what I’ve been doing since I became president. … How did this happen? I think I just forgot what was going on,” he said. Said.

The president also took particular offense at Mr. Xu’s comments about how he would be seen by jurors.

“I’m a well-meaning, older man and I know what the hell I’m doing. I’ve been president. I’ve gotten this country back on its feet. I don’t need his recommendation.” said Mr. Biden.

However, in the same press conference, the president confused the president of Egypt with the president of Mexico, and Mr. Gingrich expressed concern about this in his interview with Mr. Catsimatidis.

“[Y]When you look at it, you know, ‘This is the man we have in our system, our commander in chief,”’ Gingrich said.
