‘He’s Accomplished A Lot’: UFC Star Sean Strickland Praises Trump After Meeting

UFC superstar Sean Strickland posted a YouTube video summarizing their meeting in Las Vegas over the weekend, giving high praise to former President Donald Trump.

“Actually, I’m a really solid person. I wasn’t sure if I liked Donald Trump, but… [he’s] Really authentic, truly authentic. Yeah, it was really good. You know, I think I need to run a rally for Trump,” Strickland said in a YouTube video Monday.

His call to lead the rally is a repeat of an idea he floated after meeting Trump for the first time on Friday and feigning a fake face-to-face confrontation with the former president.

Strickland praised Trump as a breath of fresh air alongside the Biden campaign’s divisive rhetoric.

“I love the people. I feel like Trump’s people are my people, you know? Well, I love the people. But what I love about Trump is that there’s no boogeyman. His rallies don’t say…America first. But there’s no such thing as black versus white. All he’s saying is we’re Americans, and that’s really refreshing. I think so, because you support Biden and…every time Biden speaks, it’s black versus white, this and that. It’s so nice to be reminded that we’re all Americans. That’s it.”

The praise was given added weight by Strickland’s warning that he did not vote for Trump in the Republican primary.

“Here’s the thing, dude. I’m not saying I’d vote for Trump in the primaries. I like Trumpster, but…I’m not saying I would have voted for him in the primaries, but if he… If he becomes the candidate, it will be Trump in 2024.” (RELATED: ‘There’s no lead’: Postgame press asked three times about Sean Strickland’s censorship until Dana White finally had enough)

The outpouring of support appears to signal a shift in thinking for Strickland, a polarizing and incendiary brand. Mr. Strickland has made waves in recent months by criticizing many elements of the woke agenda and gleefully making inroads into Canada’s corporate media.

Strickland concluded that Trump is not infallible and is just a human being like everyone else, but said he respects Trump.

“You should always respect a person’s accomplishments, but you should never forget that he’s just a guy. And when it comes to Trump, Trump is just a guy. We’re all just guys. But he’s accomplished a lot and deserves respect.”
