‘Barbie’ star America Ferrara admits she ‘started weeping’ after meeting Leonardo DiCaprio for the first time

America Ferrara recalled bursting into tears after meeting Leonardo DiCaprio for the first time.

The 39-year-old “Barbie” actress, who is one of the nominees for the next Academy Awards, said during an appearance on Friday’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers” that other celebrities are star-struck. He said it could “creep up.”

“A lot of times it’s like someone you’ve had a relationship with since childhood, right?” Ferrara said. “That’s why I’m always so embarrassed.”

After Ferrara won the Best Female Actor in a Comedy Series award at the 2007 SAG Awards for her performance in Ugly Betty, she met her teenage crush DiCaprio, now 49 years old. said.

“I saw Titanic in theaters seven times,” she recalled. ”[I was] 13, 14 [years old], it’s the best time to fall in love with Leonardo DiCaprio, right? ”

Ms Ferrara told Ms Myers that her husband, Ryan Piers Williams, whom she married in 2011, had urged her to “stop crying”.

The “Superstore” alum said she met Hanks, 67, at the Governor’s Awards on Jan. 9.
