Trump’s ‘Political Prosecution’ Will Chase Businesses out of New York

Breitbart economics editor John Carney said Monday on Fox Business Network’s “The Bottom Line” that the New York civil fraud case is a “political prosecution” to drive companies out of New York.

Co-host Sean Duffy said, “Governor Hochul was trying to reassure New Yorkers that this is just Donald Trump. It doesn’t have to be Donald Trump. Will people be relieved? Business owners. Will he feel safe in New York? Or do you think Bjorda will escape?”

“They’re never going to feel safe,” Carney said. “What this shows is that if you’re an enemy of the political system, they’re going to use the judicial system to come after you. It was a political prosecution. The verdict was a joke. The legal theory behind it was ridiculous. It would drive companies out of New York.”

He added: “It’s hard even for people who are here to leave, but if you want to start a business, the judicial system means you can’t start what you want to do in New York.” added. You don’t want to get close to them because you’re the subject of ridicule. ”
