A Virginia patient is wanted on Monday after leaving a hospital in a hospital gown with an IV in his arm and stealing an ambulance, authorities said.
According to Fairfax County Police, the theft occurred around 9:30 p.m. outside Inova Fairfax Hospital, where the suspect was being treated following a vehicle crash on Interstate 66.
“Even though he had not yet been discharged from the hospital, he left the treatment with an IV in his arm, jumped into a privately-transported ambulance, and stole it,” the police said, along with a photo of the suspect taken inside the ambulance. added.
The ambulance was later recovered, but police have not yet found the suspect.

Police identified the man as Ricky Rowe, 32, of Manassas. FOX5 Atlanta report.
He is described as a 300-pound black man with a shaved head and tattoos on his arms.

Police said Lowe was a passenger in a crash on Route 50 in Virginia earlier in the day.
Police believe the car Lowe was riding in was stolen from a residence in Manassas. According to the local police department, investigators recovered two firearms and drugs from inside the car after the crash.
