NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. – Former Rep. Dave Blatt (R-Va.) told Breitbart News at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) that House Speaker Mike Johnson is speaking with Americans to address the national debt and border issues. He said a “contract on three issues” should be drawn up. Crisis and “endless war”.
Breitbart News caught up with Blatt on the radio line at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center Thursday to unify the Republican front on several key House issues heading into the November election. He talked about his vision.

“The last person who was very effective was Newt Gingrich as chairman, because he had a ‘contract with America.'” So I want Mike Johnson, he’s a great guy. Yes, and I want him… All you have to do is sign a No. 3 contract,” Blatt explained. “And it’s clear, everyone knows what it is: endless wars – throw China and Ukraine into that bucket – and debt – according to the CBO, we’re at $50 trillion in 10 years. It’s going to be – and we’re going to grow at $2,000, 1.5% for the next 20 years… and then we’re going to have a border invasion, which is really existential.”
Blatt said Congressional Democrats are unified in their approach to issues, while Republicans often run as individuals with platforms tailored to specific districts, a recipe for “disaster.” It pointed out.
“What no one knows is that the Democratic Party is united. The Republican Party…has 220 congressmen and women. When we walk into the room, our strategy is to give people money. , to run 220 different elections,” Blatt explained. “This is a disaster because in San Francisco, most people are running as liberals or Democrats.”[cisco] Or Illinois. However, if that were the case, they would not be able to unite and tackle these three problems that are vital to the country’s survival. ”
“Mr. Trump is busy with eight million issues, so it’s our duty to get action in the House,” he added. “I don’t think you know it right now, members of the Senate. I don’t see it. So for me, it all comes down to Mike Johnson and House.”
Blatt specifically pointed to New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ (D) immigration stance as a sign that some independents and Democrats are aligning with Republicans on the issue.
“Do you want to invade the border? When you have the mayor of New York say to you twice, “My city is in ruins,” that suggests he may have Democrats and independents on his side,” he said. .
“You don’t have to go to some crazy land. You just have to address some of the big issues that 80% of the American people talk about, and they are,” Blatt argued.
Breitbart News also spoke to Brexit leader Nigel Farage at CPAC on Thursday, saying that if former President Donald Trump becomes America’s commander in chief, “the world will be a better and safer place.” I guess so.”
