Raad al-Mansoori, the suspect in a string of violent crimes against women across the country, including a murder at Manhattan’s SoHo 54 Hotel and two stabbings in Arizona, had a bail hearing in Maricopa County on Monday. He was later denied bail.

Scottsdale police arrested the suspect last week after tracking a stolen car to a parking lot in the city. The car belonged to the woman who was stabbed, and one of the two authorities said she was attacked after Almansouri fled south after the murder of Dennis Oleas-Aranchibia in New York.

Police allege that surveillance video showed the man strangling her and crushing her skull with an iron before wearing her leggings and walking out into the street.

He allegedly stabbed a woman in Phoenix, stole a car and drove to a suburban McDonald’s, where prosecutors say he stabbed another woman.

The Arizona attack was just as brutal, authorities said.

According to testimony at the hearing, MacDonald’s victim told police that the suspect followed her into a public restroom and then crawled under the stall door with a gun. Detectives who interviewed her after she was released from intensive care said she feared her man would rape her and slit her throat.

Al-Mansoori allegedly told her twice to “shut up” as she screamed for help, then pulled out an orange-handled knife and stabbed her three times in the neck. A detective testified at the hearing.

He is said to have told police, “There is no woman on this planet who loves me,” and police suggested that this may have been his motive.

He is also said to have said that he wanted to kill his father and stepmother and burn down the house, but that he had to wait for his sister to come out of the house before hitting him.

A murder suspect also had his bond revoked in Orlando, Florida, in connection with a sexual assault and carjacking of another woman.

In Arizona, he is charged with two counts each of attempted murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and attempted sexual assault, in addition to the carjacking charge. After Scottsdale police arrested him, he also allegedly admitted to stabbing an “attractive young woman,” later identified as a 22-year-old woman, in Phoenix and killing Oleas Aranchibia in New York. .

In addition to those charges, he is being held on $5 million bail on a fugitive charge related to the New York incident, according to jail records.

Mr Al-Mansouri will appear in court next Monday, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for Wednesday.

“In this situation, I would not make a determination of bail and bail eligibility based on information related to a separate proceeding in New York City,” the Arizona judge explained at the end of Monday’s hearing. “I’m just going to make a decision on this today. So that’s my decision on this.”

Alvin Bragg, of Manhattan, is expected to go to trial first in Arizona after Maricopa County District Attorney Rachel Mitchell said she would not comply with an extradition request from him.

“Even if a murder were to occur in New York, we can guarantee that he would be detained here,” Mitchell told “Fox & Friends” Thursday morning. “Let me be clear: My heart goes out to the next of kin of the victims in New York. [and] I’m not blaming the NYPD either…but we have a case and we have him in custody. ”

If convicted, he would be sent to New York to stand trial for Oleas-Aranchibia’s murder before starting his sentence in Arizona.
