Louisville first responders were on the scene of a crash on Kentucky’s Clark Memorial Bridge over the Ohio River, where a semi-truck crashed through the bridge’s guardrail barrier and dangled in the water.

The first crash was reported around 12:15 local time. According to local reports, the truck appears to have been traveling northbound on the bridge when it crossed lanes and crashed into the bridge’s guardrail.

Dramatic video shows emergency responders being lowered from a ladder onto a semi-truck to lift the driver to safety.

A truck trailer could be seen wedged into a bridge beam, stopping it from falling into the water below. The hood of the truck was also open and could be seen hanging from the cab of the truck.

The name of food distribution company Cisco was engraved on the trailer and cab of the truck, which was left intact during the rescue.

A Cisco spokesperson praised first responders for their rescue efforts.

“Cisco today is extremely grateful to the rescue teams and law enforcement who quickly and safely resolved the Clark Memorial Bridge incident,” a spokesperson told FOX News Digital in a statement.

Officials said the car crash caused the truck to cross lanes and eventually crash through a guardrail.

The Clark Memorial Bridge is currently closed to traffic as first responders continue to work.
