Klay Thompson and Draymond Green have been teammates for 10 years. They have nine NBA All-Star selections between them, and both have been key pieces at the core of the Golden State Warriors’ championship run.
Last November, Green made an unexpected debut on Thompson’s boat. Greene detailed her first visit to Brooklyn when she recently appeared on the podcast “7:00 PM in Brooklyn with Carmelo Anthony and Kid Mero.” Green noted that the ship was an important part of the rescue effort.
Greene was stranded in San Francisco and Oakland Bay in mid-November when protesters forced the closure of the Bay Bridge, the region’s busiest road for vehicle traffic.

At the time, Green had just returned to the Oakland area after serving a five-game suspension for an altercation with Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert.

Green was trying to get to the Warriors’ practice facility, but the bridge was closed due to local pro-Palestinian protests.
“There was a protest on the Bay Bridge,” Green said.

Mr. Thompson arrived at the scene by boat after several ideas for crossing the bridge proved unsuccessful, Mr. Green said.
“Clay took a boat across the ocean to pick me up at Jack London Square in Oakland,” Green explained, as the hosts began to laugh. ”[VP of team operations] Eric Housen wanted the police to escort me. Nothing worked, you couldn’t tell. ”

Green added that the entire ordeal was captured on video. Notably, Thompson is believed to have owned the boat for approximately four years before Green boarded it for the first time on that fateful day.

Green and Thompson have developed and maintained great chemistry on the court, but Boat’s story seems to indicate that their time together outside of basketball is clearly limited.
