Kevin Garnett left the NBA after the 2015-16 season. His career spanned more than 20 years, during which time Garnett went head-to-head with LeBron James on the basketball court numerous times.
James is in the midst of his 21st NBA season and is still playing at a high level. James enters Saturday night’s game against the defending champion Denver Nuggets nine points away from reaching 40,000 career points.
James’ eldest son Bronny has been in the news for the past few days. As the college basketball regular season draws to a close, there are increasing questions about whether Bronny, a freshman out of the University of Southern California, will be selected for the 2024 NBA Draft, but senior James recently I objected to the excluded mock draft.

“Please let your kids be kids and enjoy college basketball,” the Los Angeles Lakers superstar wrote on Company X, formerly known as Twitter. “No matter what he decides to do, in the end the work and the results speak for themselves. If you don’t know he doesn’t care about what’s in his mock drafts, he just works. It’s earned, not given!”
At one point during a recent episode of the “KG CERTIFIED w/ Kevin Garnett” podcast, Garnett began discussing how Bronny projects as an NBA player.
LeBron James blasts reports about Bronny despite saying it’s ‘easy’ to play for Lakers
“Bronny can punish Bron,” declared NBA champion Paul Pierce.
Garnet immediately pushed back, “No, no, you can’t do that.”
“Man, that little guy is explosive,” Pierce responded.

However, Garnett’s argument that James could have prevented Bronny from scoring during the hypothetical game did not center on age, size, or experience. Instead, Garnett suggested that James use steroids.
“His father was on that BALCO and he was on that new juice,” Garnett said.

Garnett did not provide any additional context or information to support his claims in the podcast.
Fox News Digital has contacted a representative for Mr. James. An email seeking comment was not immediately returned.
Remarkably, James has never failed a drug test during his long professional basketball career. He had previously been embroiled in PED-related controversy when documents surfaced linking some of James’ colleagues to the Biogenesis scandal.
The 2013 federal Biogenesis investigation, informally referred to by U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration officials as “Operation Strikeout,” resulted in the conviction of self-proclaimed biochemist Anthony Bosch and several associates. .
