Former President Trump, the current Republican front-runner in the White House race, is scheduled to make a campaign stop in Richmond, Virginia, on Saturday to drum up support from the state ahead of the Super Tuesday primary.
Trump beats his only remaining primary challenger in Virginia, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, by more than 60 points (77.5% to 17.2%), according to The Hill/Decision Desk Headquarters polling index. ) are leading.
The former president, who also spoke at a “Get Out the Vote” rally in Greensboro, North Carolina, earlier Saturday, is likely upset by his wins in the Missouri caucuses and Michigan Republican convention.
More than a dozen states, including Virginia and North Carolina, will hold presidential nominating contests on Super Tuesday (a few days later on March 5), a key milestone in the 2024 election campaign.
President Trump is scheduled to speak in Virginia at 6 p.m. ET.
