Giants general manager Joe Schon expressed confidence in Jones last week.
“I have confidence in Daniel as the starting quarterback,” he said.
Sean said Jones understands the team will need to add a quarterback to back him up at some point.

Tyrod (Taylor) is also in the mix.” added Shane. “I’m going to be talking to Tyrod’s agent this week and Tyrod is a true professional. He’s been really good to not only Daniel, but Tommy DeVito and his progress throughout the year. He is a true professional.”
“So we’re going to talk about that position. Again, that’s possible through free agency and that doesn’t preclude us from doing it in the draft.”
