That should sting.
A man has revealed that a scorpion stung him in the testicles while he was sleeping in a Las Vegas hotel room.
California resident Michael Faruqui was staying at The Venetian on December 26th when he encountered an unwanted visitor in his bed. KLAS 8 News Now report.
“I just felt like someone had stabbed me in the genitals,” Falci said of the nightmarish moment when the eight-legged parasite clung to her.
“It felt like sharp glass or a knife.”
Faruqui, who was staying at the Sin City Resort with his family at the time (rooms average about $400 a night), immediately went to the bathroom to find the source of the excruciating pain.
“I went to the bathroom and saw a scorpion hanging in my underwear,” he said.
He snapped several photos of the bright orange creature dangling from his briefs before heading to hospital because it was “so painful”.
“Everyone was shocked and no one believed it,” he said. “Even I couldn’t believe it.”
Falci, who complained to the hotel before checking out, said staff have since vacated her room, but she is now considering legal action. It is unknown how the scorpion got into his room in the first place.
A representative for The Venetian said in a statement: “The resort has procedures in place for all incidents and we can confirm that they were followed in this incident.”
