WATCH: Elderly woman keeps calm as store shutter accidentally lifts her off the ground

Security camera footage from Wales shows the moment an elderly woman’s coat gets caught in an open security shutter and she is sent flying helplessly into the air.

“They say it can happen to anyone,” Anne Hughes, 71, told reporters after the incident. “No, that could only happen to me. I was lucky I had a sense of humor.”

“I was just standing there and my coat got caught and I got up,” she said near her home. “I thought, ‘I can’t believe I’m flipping over!'”

Hughes, who works as a store cleaner, was standing outside the Best One store in Tonteg, near Cardiff, South Wales, at 7.53am on Monday morning. Her colleague jumped out 12 seconds later and helped get her safely to the ground and calm her down.
