Lara Trump, Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, recently announced plans to run for the new co-chair of the Republican National Committee following Ronna McDaniel’s announcement of her resignation.
Now, Laura discusses plans to rebuild and rebrand the Republican Party with Sara Gonzalez.
“I never imagined I would be running for this office, but I never imagined our country would be in such dire straits,” she says. “There’s a must-win election on November 5th, and the reality is that you can’t win a presidential election without the Republican National Committee.”
She went on to explain that “changing your approach” when it comes to elections will be key to success.
“As conservatives, we want paper ballots. We want voter ID everywhere, but this is not the time. The way to get to that point is to “It’s about electing President Donald Trump, taking back the Senate, and expanding our lead in the House so we can actually make those things happen. Substantive change,” she tells Sarah.
At this point, we need to make sure that early voting is something we’re talking about as conservatives. The first day early voting opens in your state… go out and vote. This allows political parties to “hoard votes” and avoid “entering election day in the red.”
It also requires “trained poll watchers…people who can physically handle ballots,” and “how many ballots are in a given location so that a miraculous suitcase full of ballots doesn’t show up.” You can count how many are coming in and how many are leaving the polling place, either after the election or on election day. ”
Perhaps more than anything else, Lara says, “we need to re-establish trust in this organization, in the RNC.”
As a member of the Trump family, Lara said she will “watch every dollar and make sure it goes to causes we care about.”
She also intends to investigate “all the vendors that the RNC uses” and “all the staff there.”
When Sara asked if she would be open to working with Scott Pressler, Lala replied: “I think Scott Pressler is great. What he’s done in terms of voter registration is incredible,” she added, adding, “I want him to be in charge of our legal ballot collection efforts.” he added.
“[Democrats] The entire media organization is behind them,” she explained, adding that it is “basically their marketing department.”
“We know they’ve been slippery in previous elections…and this isn’t their first rodeo, so we have to play our game even better,” which is why she “That’s why I love Scott Pressler’s ideas.”
