Tuesday night’s shooting incident involving a Southeastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority (SEPTA) bus marked the third shooting in recent days, with a passenger shot and killed on board a Philadelphia bus.

The latest shooting occurred shortly after 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of Broad Street and Snyder Avenue when an apparent argument sparked shots fired. FOX29 Philadelphia This was reported as a police story.

Police said a person was getting off the bus when he turned around and suddenly opened fire on people inside. The gunfire struck the 37-year-old man at least twice in the chest. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The shooting occurred a day after a 17-year-old was killed and four others injured while a group of 15 to 20 people were riding a city bus at North Broad Street and West Godfrey Avenue. Police said two people approached the bus stop and opened fire around 3:45 p.m.

Police said two women on the bus were shot. A 49-year-old woman was hit in her right arm and a 71-year-old woman was shot in the head. Both were listed in stable condition.

A 15-year-old boy also suffered a graze wound to his right shoulder, and another 15-year-old boy suffered a gunshot wound to his buttocks.

On Sunday, another shooting occurred around 11:30 p.m., as the gunman and victim were getting off a SEPTA bus.

It is believed the 27-year-old victim got into an argument with another man on the bus before the shooting, but police have not yet determined a motive.
