Pig named ‘Kevin Bacon’ goes on run, amuses Wisconsin family

A large pig named Kevin Bacon was released on the loose last week, but has since returned home on quite an adventure fueled by food.

Jake Molgado, 40, and his family live in Brighton, Kenosha County, Wisconsin. They don’t own pigs, so they were quite shocked when they spotted Kevin Bacon, who weighed 450 pounds, on surveillance cameras.

“My wife spotted an unusual looking figure walking along the garage using our driveway camera,” Molgado told The Associated Press, adding that the pig “ended up very close to the back door.” .

Molgado said his wife, always a gracious host, began feeding the surprise guest “right away.”

“That’s what she does with every animal that comes into our backyard,” he said.

The Molgado family, who live in Brighton, Wisconsin, noticed something unusual on their security camera. It was a pig named Kevin Bacon.

According to the Associated Press, Kevin Bacon enjoyed a feast of apples, rice cakes, tomatoes and carrots.

Meanwhile, the Morgard family begins to investigate where the visitor has escaped from and how to bring him back home.

You don’t have to look far.

Molgado called a friend and asked if he knew anything about the large pig that had wandered into his garden.

The pig did not belong to the friend, but the friend knew Kevin Bacon’s owner and contacted them.

Kevin Bacon’s owner was not home at the time, but asked if the Molgado family could “tempt” him into the enclosure, according to the Associated Press.

This could be done with Kevin Bacon’s favorite foods: cookies, marshmallows and other sweet treats, his owner said.

Kevin Bacon apparently has quite the sweet tooth.

According to the Associated Press, the Molgados (Jake, his wife, and their 16-year-old daughter) got Kevin Bacon’s favorite food and began parading it to their home.

Deputies from the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department accompanied Kevin for part of the mile-long journey to his home, according to the Associated Press.

The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department had a little fun with a rather unusual request for assistance on its Facebook page.

On March 4, the station wrote, “Someone yelled pig!? Deputies on second shift last night certainly heard it.”

The department also wrote that “deputies responded to safely and not too quickly return this 450-pound pig to their property.” The deputy who arrived to escort Kevin Bacon home took a photo with him.

According to the owner, he is a gentle giant.

“As you can see from my smile, [on] “The deputy’s face showed excitement at meeting new friends and responding to what his friends in the city called ‘a typical county call,'” the station also wrote.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Kevin Bacon didn’t want to return to the pen right away. Sometimes he had to stop and the Morgard daughter jumped on his back to encourage him to keep going.

Kevin Bacon’s journey took a total of two and a half hours. And we consumed so many cookies.

“He is a huge creature, but his owner described him as a gentle giant,” Molgado told The Associated Press.

And although he’s no longer on the Morgard family’s doorstep, the family apparently hasn’t forgotten about their new friend.

“We went there every day and gave him 12 donuts,” Molgado said.

The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department also gave high praise to Kevin Bacon.

Reached for comment, a representative for the department told Fox News Digital that the organization is “still awaiting a response from Kevin regarding the job offer he received that night.”

This is the second time in recent months that a pig named Kevin Bacon has caused controversy.
