Florida man brutally beat to death his 4-year-old daughter, according to police: ‘No remorse. No emotion, nothing’

Florida police arrest man on suspicion of beat to death His 4-year-old daughter while her mother was away on her own.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said Jacob Kubay, 22, of Bartow, reportedly found his daughter Willow unresponsive on the night of February 22nd and took her to Bartow Regional Medical Center. He said he went.

Hospital staff called police after finding no brain activity in the child and “suspicious physical injuries,” Grady said. The infant was taken to another hospital where doctors determined he had numerous serious injuries, including a fractured skull, multiple impact bruises to his forehead and 10 broken ribs.

She also suffered a spinal hemorrhage and a multilayered brain hemorrhage.

“The baby fought for his life and lived for two more days before dying,” Judd said.

The man told investigators that he dropped his wife off at work around 5 p.m. that day. He said he realized he didn’t have enough ingredients for dinner so he went to Walmart to buy chicken soup.

He claimed he checked on the child every 10 minutes and performed CPR when he noticed the child was unresponsive at 8:10 p.m.

Judd said detectives were able to obtain video of Kubayi at Walmart, showing him entering the store alone without his daughter. At one point, he looked straight into the camera inside the store.

He said the investigation is ongoing and trying to determine whether Kubayi killed the child before or after going to Walmart.

Kubai was arrested Tuesday and charged with aggravated manslaughter of a child, aggravated child abuse and intentional child abuse without bodily harm.

“He didn’t shed a single tear and he literally beat and strangled his baby to death,” Judd said. “I have no regrets. I have no emotions.”

The autopsy report found that the child died from “blunt force trauma to the head.”

“He’s the one who wonders why God allowed him to breathe air,” Judd concluded. “I don’t understand how a father could do this to his child, but I do know that he should be locked up as long as the law allows.”

Grady said the child’s nickname was “Strawberry.”
