The Giants are at least exploring the possibility of Russell Wilson.

The team held a “review meeting” with the veteran quarterback. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports from New Jersey.

Wilson stopped in the Garden State before heading to Pittsburgh to play against the Steelers on Friday.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported Thursday that the Broncos are planning to release the 35-year-old Wilson and that the Steelers are interested in him.

The Broncos granted Wilson permission to meet with the team ahead of Monday’s free agency tampering period. This period typically sees a flurry of contract reports.

The Giants have Daniel Jones back from a torn ACL and there are rumors of interest in No. 6 pick JJ McCarthy from the University of Michigan, meaning they could select a QB in the first round.
