In a portion of an interview that aired Friday on CNN’s “The Source,” Rep. Susan Wilde (D-Pennsylvania) said there is no way in this country that abortion “takes the life of a child; He acknowledged that there are people who believe that this is the answer. So those people don’t need to have an abortion. ”
Host Caitlan Collins asked, “What do you think a second Trump presidency will mean for these rights that you all say are fundamental for women?”
Wilde replied: “Well, I think they’re saying the quiet parts out loud. Frankly, I think we know what that means. We’re seeing a rollback in women’s rights. I think you’re considering, but as Congressman Sewell (D-Ala.) said, what this actually means, and I also want to address that fact, some people What you said about, I do believe in abortion, the idea that it’s taking the life of a child is wrong, and the answer to that is that those people are not required to have an abortion. So, abortion is needed in all kinds of situations, so why should politicians and judges make decisions that touch on all of these individual decisions?”
