Former President Trump has officially announced that he will support Congresswoman Nancy Mace (R.S.C.), who is seeking re-election in November.
In a post on TruthSocial announcing his support, President Trump called her a “strong, conservative voice” who had worked “hard” to help Trump win the South Carolina Republican primary. called.

President Trump’s endorsement of Mace comes after Mace defeated former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley (Republican) in her home state. He received significant support from Republicans representing the Palmetto State, including current South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster (R) and U.S. Sen. Tim Scott. (RC). Haley then withdrew from the race.
Mace is seeking re-election to the seat he has held since 2020. She has criticized Trump in the past, including criticizing the former president days after the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot.
In the 2022 race, he faced a tough primary race against former state Rep. Katie Arrington, a Trump-backed challenger. Mace defeated her in her primary and ultimately won the general competition.
Mace endorsed Trump in January, but declined to endorse Haley, with whom she campaigned for re-election to the House in 2022.
In this cycle, Mace faces major challengers from those who were once in her orbit. Mr. Arrington’s former chief of staff, Dan Hanlon, has filed to run in the district, along with former state official Katherine Templeton, who has been endorsed by Mr. Arrington.
