Former President Donald Trump slammed Oscar host Jimmy Kimmel during the awards ceremony, calling him a “faded” talent.
The former president expressed his disdain in a lengthy post on Truth Social.
“Has there ever been a worse host at the Oscars than Jimmy Kimmel? His beginnings were a below-average person trying too hard to be something he wasn’t and something he could never be. ” he wrote.
Trump then suggested ABC fire Kimmel and replace him with George Stephanopoulos.
“Fire Kimmel and probably replace him with another washed up but cheap ABC ‘talent’ George Slopanopoulos,” he said.
“He’ll make everyone on stage look bigger, stronger and more attractive. Also, tonight is a truly awful politically correct show, one that has been disjointed, boring and very unpopular for years.” That’s fair. Why not give an Oscar to those who deserve it? That could bring the ratings and TV ratings back from rock bottom. Let’s make America great again!” he concluded. .
Kimmel read the post during the ceremony and received thunderous applause.
