Last week, a naked man broke into an Austin home and assaulted residents, sparking an hours-long standoff with police.
Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a report of a burglary from a residence in the 4400 block of Marl Drive just before noon last Thursday.
The house belonged to an employee of Michael Cargill, owner of the Central Texas Gun Factory. FOX7 reported.
The employee’s wife (a full-time housewife) was at home at the time of the intrusion.
Cargill told the station that the woman was “shaken up,” but “she’s a fighter.”
“She had to fight him,” Cargill said. “Fortunately, she had a dog. In fact, the dog also attacked and bit the man. They took him into a room, wrestled him inside the room, and were able to lock him up. ”
At that time, she reportedly ran from the home and called 911. Cargill said the victim had to call twice after the first caller “hanged up.”

Responding officers found the victim who said a male suspect had come into her home. The victim said there were multiple firearms inside the home.
Officers attempted to make contact with the suspect, later identified as Larry Robinson, but were unable to make contact.
A SWAT team arrived on the scene. Several hours later, Robinson complied with APD negotiators and left the residence without incident.
Robinson was arrested and booked into the Travis County Jail. He is charged with burglary, according to APD. Further charges are likely in the coming days.
