Biden Should Topple Hamas, not Netanyahu

A senior Israeli official said Tuesday that President Joe Biden should focus on defeating the terrorist group Hamas rather than overthrowing the democratically elected government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The Israeli official made the comments following a report on Monday that said U.S. intelligence agencies “expect” the coalition government led by the Israeli prime minister to collapse. The assessment in the middle of a war was the latest political attack by the Biden administration on Netanyahu’s government. Prime Minister Netanyahu pushed back. Said on FOX News Monday morning.[t]As long as Hamas believes that the sun is setting between us, it is useless. ”

In a statement provided to Israeli media, a source said to be at the highest level used sharper language.
era of israel report:

“The Israeli people choose Israel’s prime minister, and no one else,” the official said in a statement to the media, interpreting the intelligence report as an effort to unseat Netanyahu.

“Israel is not a protectorate of the United States, but an independent, democratic country whose people elect a government. We expect them to work,” the official said.

Mr. Biden has pushed for the establishment of a Palestinian state over the opposition of Prime Minister Netanyahu, who he claims is “hurting” Israel more than helping it. Prime Minister Netanyahu pointed to the fact that most Israelis (and Americans) support his position.

Among Israelis, Mr. Biden’s insistence that Israel not attack Hamas’ last stronghold in the city of Rafah, near the Gaza Strip’s border with Egypt, until civilians could be evacuated gave Hamas time to regroup. There are growing concerns that they may be giving the virus away.
