Trump wins Hawaii GOP caucus

Former President Trump won the Republican presidential caucuses in Hawaii, according to projections from Decision Desk Headquarters.

Last week, Trump won overwhelmingly in all but one state where Republican presidential campaigns were held on Super Tuesday, prompting rival Nikki Haley to withdraw and setting up a rematch in the general election with Democratic front-runner President Biden. I put it on the right track.

The former president’s win in the Aloha State could add up to 19 delegates to his column, according to Decision Desk Headquarters/The Hill delegate tracker.

On the other side of the aisle, more than a dozen Democratic primaries are still scheduled this month, but after a spate of Super Tuesday wins, Biden is easily on track to win the party’s nomination.

Mr. Biden easily won the Democratic primary in Hawaii last week, but some of the 22 delegates called it “unethical” as some progressives protested the administration’s actions over the Israel-Hamas war. The option of “commit” was selected, receiving nearly 30% of the vote. He was expected to win Tuesday’s Democratic primary in the Northern Mariana Islands.
